Shortly after purchasing the Cherry Street Farm at Creston in 1942, Gilbert began an aggressive program of building construction and expansion. A shed to store machinery in was the first one constructed, added to the side of the existing corn crib. It appears it may have been used for hogs to sleep in at the time this photo was taken.
