An informal noon luncheon and discussion was held at the Westin Hotel with Dr. David McFarland, Dr. Steven Smethers, Associate Professor of Radio and Televsion, KSU, Storz Program Directors Bud Connell (KXOK), Richard Ward Fathererly (KXOK, WHB), Deane Johnson (KOMA, WTIX), and Peter Mclane, Iowa Broadcaster and radio historian.

Dr. McFarland is considered "the" authority on Top Forty radio and has authored numerous books.
