Event photos by Chip Curley, click on pictures for full size. As part of their Commencement tradition, Vanderbilt hosts a big outdoor dance whose simple name says it all: THE PARTY. This event launches three days of festivities in a grand fashion with live entertainment and a huge dance floor — offering a memorable evening of fun and celebration under the stars.A key part of the event is the live entertainment. The featured band this year was Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals. Lead singer/songwriter, Felix Cavaliere is the originator of “Blue-Eyed Soul” and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Cavaliere and The Rascals had 17 Top 40 Solid Gold Hits and sound as magical and timeless today as when they first hit the airwaves. May 12, 2010. Campus favorites, Soul Incision, got the party started with their own brand of rock ‘n’ roll. Please visit my Nashville Websites and my other photo galleries.
