Opryland Hotel Summerfest includes theme parties.
• Country Celebration, Thursdays and Sundays: Learn to line dance to music by Nashville country bands in a hoedown atmosphere that includes lassoing cowboys and card-trick sharks, cowboy grub and arts and crafts by Tennessee artisans.
• Hot Summer Nights, Fridays: Sip a frosty tropical drink or hit the Opryland "boardwalk" for ice cream or cotton candy. Dance or test your skills at limbo, Twister or beach blanket bingo.
• Mardi Gras, Saturdays: Join the Mardi Gras parade (7PM)through the hotel to the Delta Atrium for a New Orleans-style carnival, with live music and Cajun foods, beignets and hurricanes and other libations. There'll be beads and coins, design-your-own party hats, jugglers, magicians, stilt walkers and jesters.
