This is literally a lamp *in* the window. Since the house has 3'+ stone walls, the window openings are really deep, making for great "display" opportunities - like lamps, ducks, books, and old underwear. (Just kidding on the underwear.) This shot was taken when we had our first (!) snow of the season -- and our first snowfall ever in our new home. (Guess who already has hundreds of shots of house with snow, trees with snow, snow with snow, etc.)
