WWII Memorial at Night

Washington, DC

To be precise, the fountain of the new WWII Memorial is in the foreground, and the not-so-new Lincoln Memorial is in the background. The view is looking straight west from a point on an west-east line from the Lincoln Memorial, through the WWII Memorial, the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol - surely the most historical line in America.

Yeah, you're right, Mark (about lines and fame), especially, since I don't think anyone ever made the Lincoln-Washington-Capitol an official line. If then did, then I suppose that the White House-Washington-Jefferson line would need recognition, too. And what about .... :)

Awesome shot, Dennis. Is the Mason-Dixon Line not more historically famous? :)
