Little Dumbell / NGC650 / M 76

Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

Image is about 20X30 ArcMinutes (a little unter 1/2 degree) centered at RA: 01h43m46.850s DE:+51°36'02.26"
This nebula is relatively small but fairly bright. Discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1780 it was added to Charles Messier's catalog as #76.
The Little Dumbell is about 2500 light years away in the constillation Perseus.
The bright star to the lower left of the nebula is about 7th magnitude reddish star.
7th magnitude is dimmer than most folks can see from a dark, clear site.
