M81 / NGC3031 / Bodes Nebula

Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

Bodes Nebula was recorded by Johann Bode in 1774, thus the classification as a nebula.
It is located about 12 million light years away in the constillation Ursa Major at RA 09hr 55m 33sec Dec +69deg 3min 55sec.
M81 is a member of a group of some 31galaxys covering some 20 X 40 degrees in Ursa Major.

Hutech Canon 40D,Skywatcher 120ED F7.5 900mm FL
10 X 10min. exposures stacked using nebulosity drizzle process.
10 dark/bias frames with 16 flat frames used in preprocessing.
Final processing with Danon DPP
Older Mountain Instruments MI-250 tangent arm mount guided by StarShoot autoguider on a Borg 77Ach. full exif
