Hey, YOU!

I just saw your comment from April on the shot of my Adamas guitar. Sorry it took so long to respond.

It was so nice to see a comment from an 'old shutter buddy' Thank you! Yes, it HAS been years since we crossed paths. I went through a divorce which set me back a bit creativity-wise, but I'm over it. Taught myself how to play guitar though, ha, and have had some fun buying and trading some pretty nice instruments. I just recently picked up my camera gear again, and also took up with a film maker from the northwest, whose company I very much prefer to others, ha. There IS life after divorce ... it only took me six years to realize it! :( :) I've really missed my photography, so I'e dusted off all that expensive gear and am starting up again. The fact that my boyfriend is a movie maker and all around artist helps fuel my desire to capture the world around me once more!

Now, for this GREAT action shot ... WOW! The color is over-the-top! So, you are shooting with a Nikon D200, huh? This is just wonderful!! You have captured the scene well, I can almost hear him breathing as he runs with that football. So cute.

You need to post more (as do I) ... my last camera purchase was a Canon Mark II 5D.. I have no idea what model is the latest, and the 5D still suits my needs very well. I still have one or two lenses I want!! After I bought the $1600 200 mm white beast (with IS), I slowed down about with pouring my dollars into my camera bag. I've got a good set up now, although I can only imagine the improvements made since I last shopped.

Hope all is well with you and yours, my friend. I'll be back to see what you're up to! In the meantime, if you are bored, you can have a look at some of the stuff my 'guy' does. He's quite talented! You can view his projects at www.cloutier.org. He also built guitars for a while, which you will see on his website (look under the 'luthery' section). He has stopped building guitars but I have managed to procure one, and I'm hoping he'll make me another one of these days (cause I'm greedy, ha)

It looks like you are enjoying life, and to think that makes me quite happy for you! All the best, "D" ... keep in touch! :)
