While Blacktown is still a haven for vast sprawls of "quarter acre bungalow" residences, more and
more of the population seems to be moving into upbeat "higher density" accommodation. Australians
traditionally look down their noses at "flats" but I suspect that this attitude is beginning to
change. The standard of accommodation built into such homes seems higher than it used to be.
