We have moved away from the highway a little to take a look at nearby suburbia. In the late sixties
and early seventies, countless thousands of young and immigrant families moved into these areas. A
great many of them found housing in these extremely ugly "home unit blocks". While it would not be
fair to called Kingsford a slum, it IS true that some parts of Sydney primarly composed of such
dwellings, have INDEED become slums.
