The ills of western Sydney can largely be attributed to a lot of bad urban planning by government
decision makers during the 1960s. One thing that they appear to have got right are the large
expanses of both natural and cultivated reserve which are strewn around the far western suburbs and
satellite cites. This enormous park (20 hectares or so) features walking and bicycle tracks,
football fields, netball courts, sporting clubs, bowling greens, gardens and adventure playgrounds.
I am feeling better already. Heavens! That's a lot of grass. I am glad that I do not have to mow it.
