For a short part of the way we are confined to the sealed Solander Drive which takes visitors to the
whale watching platform. Notice how conventional trees are giving way to hardy "saltbush" type
vegetation, which is more suited to the salt spray laden breezes and infertile sandy soils which
prevail around here.
