Well, nearly six months have elapsed since the completion of the last leg. Summer has been the chief
cause of delay. The section we are about to complete should not be done in hot weather. There will
be little shelter, no fresh water and for much of the time there will be no ready means of
returning to "civilisation" should the going get too arduous. Gerry and I have both had other
committments at odd time ... anyway, like Douglas McArthur, we have indeed returned and I stand
almost exactly where I did when I took the last picture. The morning light (it is 8:15 am) and the
weather are somewhat kinder than last time and this picture of the oil tanker currently at the
oil refinery dock is much nicer than what I was able to get before.
