I went down to the Thirlmere "Festival of Steam" today. Thirlmere is a small town near Picton in
New South Wales where the "Rail Transport Museum" is situated and where they have restored examples
of fabulous old steam driven locomotves and heritage rolling stock on show. Occasionally they pull
out some of the gear onto the museum's private line and "play trains". Thousands of people turn up
.. most of them with DSLRs of one type or another.
