I know that coin shots are hardly an original idea. I have seen a few excellent ones on pbase
recently and so I hope that their photographers forgive me for having stolen their idea. In any
event I shot a "fake" 10c piece the other day and I was wondering what it might be like to gather
together a bunch of freshly minted authentic 10c coins (i.e. Australian ones). Incidentally do you
notice how the colour of the coins changes subtly depending on the angle at which the light arrives?

I like it very much, and this shot is extraordinary. The tones and details are lovely in the soft light. V

Yup, coins are always a very useful standby for a PAD. Lots of detail that you can play with, and lots of different lighting angle options. Probably not as tasty as the chocolate one that I presume you're referring to, though, and certainly harder on the teeth!

Ahhh! If only they were gold doubloons. Lovely light effect.
