WCS1242.jpg

We have now entered Christison Park. In this image, we are looking north, back toward Macquarie Light.
Here we ran into a few people with binoculars, looking out for whales. This is the time of year
for the great east coast northern whale migration which includes Southern Right whales, Humpback
and Minkie whales. Thankfully, professional observers report an ongoing growth in numbers each year.
One gentleman we spoke to had seen 10 separate whales, that morning. Despite the calm seas, neither
Gerry or I could be sure that we'd seen an animal. Given the smooth conditions, many small boats
had taken to the ocean, looking for whales. There was a surprising amount of small boat traffic,
out there.

MANY MORE PICTURES TO COME. VISIT AGAIN SOON.
