We see lots of these white bags by the trackside containing concrete and sandstone blocks, gravel
and roadbase. It appears that in addition to the National Parks and Wildlife staff, teams of volunteers
have been organised to upgrade sections of the track using the material. We wondered how such heavy
stuff could possibly be "walked" long distances into situ like this. We were ultimately told by a passing
park ranger that each of these bags is lifted in and deposited by helicopter.
