Alas the beach is well and truly cut by the outflow from Dee Why Lagoon. Were we not wearing long
trousers and carrying cameras we didn't want to drown, we might well have waded directly across.
Some reports suggest that the water might have been no more than knee deep but the current looks
trecherous and the centre depth looks .... well ... bloody deep. We head inland to look for a
better fording place.
