This is where it begins. One drives as far north as one can go at Palm Beach. Then walk north along the Pittwater side beach.
From here you can see the old customs building where the trek up to the lighthouse reserve begins. Interestingly enough the
far end of this beach was used as the location for several scenes in the 1980s Mel Gibson movie, "Tim".
