We ate breakfast in Santa Barbara where we discovered the original Sambos restaurant. At the height of Sambos popularity in the late 1970s, there were over 1,000 spread throughout the entire U.S. but now the original is also the last and the only remaining Sambos. Their Belgian waffle is still as delicious as I remembered eating as a child in the 70s.
