Our local chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), GEN "Vinegar Joe" Stilwell Chapter, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Sal Carbone of Carbone's Bar and Restaurant for his selfless service supporting the troops by donating thousands of dollars of his own money and countless hours of his own time each year providing a free Thanksgiving meal to local Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guard personnel assigned to the Defense Language Institute (DLI), the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), and Monterey Coast Guard Base.
