Doe, Fawn

I had just acquired a lightly used Minolta 600 f4, and went to a nearby provincial park with it mounted on a Maxxum 9xi and a heavy tripod. I was using Fuji Velvia 50 slide film.
Wanting to do some test shots, I set up on a river bank and focussed on some interesting plant life on the opposite bank in the warm early morning light.
With that, this doe and fawn walked into the picture as if on cue. You don't get that kind of luck very often!

Great preparation is what allows us to take advantage of "luck" when it happens! One of my favorite quotes from Louis Pasteur is (paraphrased) "Chance favors the mind that is prepared"...Your setting up, test shots and prefocusing is what allowed you to take advantage of what nature set before you! Excellent Photo!

Super shot - luck no - skill yes. I have just put in for processing Velvia 50 film, I had forgotten the excitement and anticipation of waiting to see the results - I hope I get something as good as!
