The hurricane left us without power for most of a week.
It was a strange experience which we have described elsewhere. But this photo conveys what it was like quite well.
There was nothing for us to photograph in any of the places we could reasonably go.
Except for an unusual number of empty parking places, nothing looked different in our neighborhood during the day.
At night it was simply very,very dark.... and how do you photograph that?
and while the lower third of Manhattan where we live remained in the dark, the Financial District (Wall Street) had their power restored quickly....MONEY TALKS!!!
