Later in the Seventies our friend Danny, who was attending San Francisco State College, informed us that he had seen my picture in his text book.
(!!!!!!!!!)
It was a Health and Hygene textbook and every freshman in the state had to take the class.
Aparently us Krazy Kids were beginning to insist that being Gay wasn't a disease.
I wondered for a while if the message on the sign had been added in later,
but recently, in the digital NY Public Library archives, I found pictures that were obviously from the same roll of film and the sign shows up in other frames too.
Unfortunately this frame isn't in the collection, presumably because the photographer sold it to the textbook company
I sure would love to have a version better than the ancient Xerox copy I made at the time....
