This view shows the hardwood T&G plywood flooring in place (2.4x1.2m sheets @ 15mm thick). You can also see the slight protrusion of the concrete pier above floor level. There are 4 stainless steel (316 grade) rods set in the concrete pier that will be used to fasten the metal pier for the telescope. The stainless steel rods were bent slightly to prevent rotation within the concrete; contrary to popular belief you don't need right angle bends (as in J bolts) to lock them in.
