With 26.9" of snow in Central Park, New York City has set a record for greatest snowfall from a single storm, Heavy snow on the morning of 02/12/06 helped the Big Apple eclipse the previous record of 26.4" set in 1947. Hey, nice gallery! That Virgin Atlantic plane in your second photo is the one we were trapped on for hours waiting for a runway to open! Interesting to see a different angle of the blizzard than we saw! :)

Hey David ... Thanks for leaving a comment on my New York gallery - checked out your galleries as a result. I just escaped this storm last Saturday - I was leaving at 9:35PM en route to India - I made it out just in time by the looks of things! Great gallery at capturing the effects of a snow storm of this size. Declan
