Yosemite in Winter - 2007

A few days in Yosemite during winter can offer a cornucopia of photographic possibilities, no matter what the weather. I found myself inspired everywhere I looked on my trip to the park, from the granite cliffs and snow-clad trees, to the park's architecture.

Makes me want to drive up there around March or April of this year.

I was wondering if snow chains were required. By looking at some of the photographs, it seems like they'd be mandatory for all vehicles.

I was supposed to be in Yosemite the same weekend, doing my annual X-C skiing at
Badger Pass. But decided to skip it as I recovered from my Cold.
