A good friend, Leslie, had asked that I take a few snaps of her beautiful four-year-old Weimaraner hunting dogs. This gave me the opportunity to try out a new Canon 40D dSLR using both Canon 135L f2.0 and Canon 85 f1.8 lenses. Shooting distances for these fast-moving hounds was tight since recent rains had relegated us to Leslie's grassy lawn rather than the more expansive, but muddy, farmers' fields nearby. Nonetheless, with a little practice I was able to capture the dogs' enthusiatic pursuit of frisbees skillfully thrown by Leslie.
