WILLIAM C. BOYETT,
William was born October 1, 1822 in Georgia. He died between 1865 & 1870,
probably somewhere in Southern Arkansas, maybe in Bradley County. His parents
were Ethel Dred BOYETT/BOYT and Sarah Ann SAUCER.
William’s first marriage was to Ann (Murry?). She was suppose to be Choctaw.
She died sometime after her son Daniel was born. William’s second marriage was
to Gatsy Jane ____? I cannot find any record of either of his marriages.
Gatsy Jane remarried in Union County Arkansas on January 27, 1870 to Paschall
C. Tucker. They moved to Union Parish Louisiana.
William's children:

DANIEL BOYETT born 1853, died 1904, buried in the Gravelridge Cemetery in
Bradley County Arkansas. He married December 26, 1871 in Union County Arkansas
to Mary Ann Smith. Mary born in 1857, died in 1923, buried in the Gravelrigde
Cemetery in Bradley County Arkansas. Her parents were Thomas H. and Elizabeth
Smith.
Daniel and Mary’s children:
ELIZABETH ARGEN BOYETT born April 14, 1873, died October 19, 1952. She married
February 25, 1889 in New London, Union County Arkansas to John Lewis
Hollingsworth. John was the son of Warren G. and Sarah Riggs Hollingsworth.
Elizabeth and John are buried in the Gravelridge Cemetery in Bradley County
Arkansas.
WILLIAM BOYETT born May 1877, died 1939. He married in 1897 in Union County
Arkansas to Lottie Sutton. His second marriage to Alice (Allie) Roberson in 1902
in Union County Arkansas.
LULA BOYETT born July 1883, died November 30, 1927, She is buried in the
Gravelridge Cemetery in Bradley County Arkansas. Lula does not have a headstone.
Lula married 1898 in Union County Arkansas to Jim. H. (Bud) Hines. Her second
marriage to _____ Dunaway.
LEE BOYETT born March 1886, died September 19, 1949, buried in Union County
Arkansas. Lee married December 11, 1906 to his cousin Minnie Boyett
CALLIE DONIE BOYETT born January 17, 1890, died October 16, 1974, buried in
the Gravelridge Cemetery in Bradley County Arkansas. Donie married December 29,
1898, to William (Pete) Hines.

Ethel Dred/Etheldred BOYETT b. 10 Aug 1800 Screven Co., GA; m. 5 Sep 1821 Sarah Ann SAUCER [SASSER?) (1). 26 Oct 1806 Screven Co., GA; she d. 12 Feb 1840); he d. 27 Dec 1882; both are bur Spring Branch Cem, Columbia Co., AR. [Editor's Note: one subscriber states that the Etheldred b. 1800 GA is a brother of James Thomas BOYETT b. 1812 GA who was in Union Par. LA in 1840, Union Co.. AR in 1860, and Bradley Co., AR in 1867; they are the sons of Edward BOYETT. Their migration patterns were almost identical. James Thomas's parentage is documented in the family history compiled by Richard Sassman and published in the Newsletter Vol.1, No.3, pp. 7-8.
William Christopher BOYETT b. 1 Oct 1822 Screven Co., GA (son of Ethel Dred and Sarah
Ann (SAUCER); m. Jane; they moved to Marion, Union Parish, LA about 1870; apparently
William Christopher died soon after as he is not listed with the family in the 1870 U.S. Census.
The rest of the family was listed in the household of the Paschel H. TUCKER family in Union
Parish in the 1870 U.S. Census.

(3)10 July 1898, Hampton, Calhoun Co., AR to Emma Ann Bethea LAWS, widow of T. J. LAWS. (b. 15 Dec 1868 Calhoun Co., AR; d. 5 Dec 1935); d. 3 Nov 1934; they are both bur. Means Cem, Hampton, Calhoun Co., AR.

Helen Parsons (b. 24 Dec 1921 Athens, Howard Co., AR); he moved to Umpire, Howard Co., AR in 1934 and was employed by the U.S. Forest Service for nine years. At the beginning of WWII he enlisted in the Navy; after his discharge, he and family moved to Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., AR; d. 4 Mar 1990, Ft. Smith, AR; bur Forest Park Cem, Ft. Smith, AR.

Hal Wade BOYETTE b. 12 Oct 1939, Van Buren, Sebastian Co., AR. He attended Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, AR and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; he m. Dixie Carol WEIR (b. 10 Aug 1939 Ft. Smith, Sebastian Co., AR; they reside in Milledgeville, Baldwin Co., GA. They have two sons: Hal Wesley b. 14 Apr 1976 and Robert Wayne b. 23 Aug 1979.
