These are shots I took on our vacation to Orlando in November, 2007. They're taken at our hotel room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the animal safari on the hotel grounds, the hotel's pool, and Kennedy Space Center.
The rest of this description is for people who might be interested in a piece of gear I used on this trip ...
I took all the shots in this gallery with my Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OS (optically stabilized) lens. I've seen a lot of negative reports on various websites from people who say it tries to be too many things at once and ends up not doing any one thing very well. However, few of those people actually own this lens. After reading the reviews I've seen from people who *do* own this lens, understand its limitations, and don't expect it to perform beyond have generally been very positive. I've owned this lens for almost a year and I agree with them.
I've only been doing dSLR photography since April 2007 so I'm still very much an amateur, but I think the pictures in this gallery show what the lens can do in situations when you want or need to carry only one lens. You can decide for yourself what you think.
