This was taken at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Old Quebec. It's a closeup of the gold arches over the altar.

I'll have to do some research to find out more, but there's a story behind why there are 6 in this case. According to our tour guide there would usually be 4. But if I remember correctly, it's because the arches are 22 karat gold and that alloy would be too soft to support the statue at the top with only 4.
