I bought this on Talkbass.com in 2/2008 and the previous owner bought it on eBay. He said he thought it was a 1996 model. If so, then the pickups would be the same ones that were in the Standard Jazz at that time and it would have the 9-volt Fender 3-band active preamp that was used in Fender's Deluxe models back then. That also means it should sound exactly like the Mexican-made Jazz Deluxe V I sold a few years ago since that one had the same electronics that were used in the USA-made models at that time.

It's black, is in nice shape, and has the original white pearl pickguard. Yeah, it's not a natural or a sunburst finish, but it still looks nice anyway.
