Semana Santa (Easter) is the most important celebration in Spain with festives beginning on Palm Sunday, Domingo de Romos, as Lent draws to a close, and only ending on Easter Monday - Lunes de Pascua.
These are photographs taken of the celebrations from the El Salvador Church in Nerja around the local streets.

Myself and my husband celebrated our marriage in Nerja (though our marriage ceremony was in St. Anthonio De Padua Church in Frigiliana). Nerja holds a very special place in our hearts and we're thinking of celebrating Easter there in 2008. Thank you for letting us see Nerja on such a great occasion.
