Excellent critter photos, The ladybird and aphids are great as well as the praying mantis shots and asassin bug catching the fly, I enjoyed looking at all of them. Your photographs have great short depth of field creating that out of focus soft background highlighting the bug with sharpness. The photographs are crisp, good job holding the camera steady with the balancing act on the wall, I know that can be difficult.
I too enjoy getting down into the grass blades and seeking out insect landing zones and habitats for upclose photographs. The world is a such an intriguing place when you get glimpse of it from a bugs eye view. I have explored many meadows across the country in my travels gathering insect life photographs. I enjoy what their world looks like from behind the lense. Have you ever seen the insect documentary "macrocosmos" if you haven't you should check it out from one bug enthusiast to another. Its a great film of macro closeup videography of insect life. The footage is unbelievable and each shot leaves you wondering how did they capture that? Thats not possible, I too have difficulty chasing insects and keeping them in the focal depth of the lense, in the film you should see their focusing skills. They follow a lady bug along the curve of a grass blade keeping just the bug in focus throughout the whole shot. It came out a while back and is relatively unheard of for insect observers don't make up the majority of people out there. You may have already seen it but if you haven't its worth a look.
