I traveled to the West Overton Museums near Scottdale, PA to see their Civil War Weekend festivities. It’s a wonderful place with a lot of beautiful grounds. The re-enactors were plentiful, with the majority being Confederate soldiers. I spent almost all day just wandering around snapping away. I got this shot by being practically on the battlefield across from the spectator area. If I would have been were “civilians” were supposed to be, I would have gotten very poor shots. The battle would have been far off and the background would have been cluttered with a highway and modern buildings. Thankfully, no on chased me off; I think people assumed I was supposed to be there. I know the muzzle flash is very bright but I still enjoy this shot a lot.
