After a tremendous down pouring of rain I went for a little walk through the neighborhood. By the time I made it to the river a few blocks away the rowing teams and dragon boats were back out on the water. There was also an amazing amount of debris floating down river, disgorged by the flooded city storm sewers. One really cool thing I found while walking were some old abandoned peach trees along the riverbank. The fruit was so ripe and juicy and the hard rain had done a nice job of cleaning them.
