The possibilities and effects that a field house could end up having on the project, facilitating work, sharing of excitement and knowledge and attracting new participants are tremendous. Here's one idea. Next weekend that we have an expedition, spend one day in the cave and one day on the house. My parents' place is only about an hour from the cave. One of the first things we need to address is hot showers. Once we can use the place to get cleaned back up, we can start using it, even if it isn't in the shape we hope to restore it to. Where I work, we throw away old computers. I'll start collecting stuff on the way to the trash and try and piece together 2 or 3 computers we can house there. They even throw away old laser printers some times.
