I took the original photo in 1977 on Spanish Banks beach in Vancouver.
The old cedar log still had the bark on it, but when I peeled it back, it revealed this.

I then entered a CibachromeŽ print of it to the 38th International Photo Salon in Japan and it was accepted.

Original photo was taken with my 4x5 camera.
