My first destination was Christchurch, where my plane landed and a rental car was waiting for me. I spend two nights here, and visited the city centre and Science Alive!, the antipodal companion for my work in Amsterdam: science center NEMO.

The city square is a popular spot for street artists in the summer months. I saw a show by Basketballman from New York, who had a hard time with the wind in this outdoor location but still managed to show of many impressive tricks.
