In October 2002, the crack of a sniper's rifle outside a Wheaton supermarket began a three-week rampage that eventually took 10 lives, wounded three other victims and draped a cloak of panic and fear over the Washington metropolitan area. This memorial is located at the Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park. New Page 1

Dan, I live in Rockville...I have not even heard of this memorial. I go to Brookside all the time...but where is this place?

I have not been to this memorial yet, but you have captured it well. I will never forget the reign of the sniper.
