Can you imagine how poor and helpless we are when you look at these pictures? I have beeb living abroad for a long time and sometimes I have this feeling that I should go back to Bangladesh and live with my family. But when I see pics like these and hear about the situation back home, I just say forget it. I just wonder if, as a nation, we shall ever be corruption free and value the dignity of human life. Shame on our leaders for keeping us so deprived, poor and helpless. Down with our leaders!

These pictures are great. I particurlarly like the pictures of the villagers - you've managed to capture some of nuances of rural life in Bangladesh and it brings tears to my eyes! I need to visit my country soon, insha-Allah!

Quite an experience photographing in Bang, isn't it? Just returned yesterday from a visit there myself. Referencing the comment from stevenpa, I, too, found it virtually impossible to remain inconspicuous while taking photo's (and I was using a small point-and-shoot). Just curious Danny: how long were you in-country?

There is little (western) tourism in Bangladesh so the few western tourists are something to look at for the Bangladeshi.

These pictures remind me of how we used to live in Bangladesh and how excited it was..to see a car... Right now I cannot wait to Visit Bangladesh.
