The weather was perfect for this 12+ mile hike with 3900 ft of ascent elevation, the ledges were dry, the trail was in great shape and I only saw 2 other hikers all day. 11th time on Whiteface, 10th on Passaconaway so could potentially finish both this year if I can get these done in Nov/Dec. There were hundreds if not thousands of Monarch butterflies in the fields next to the parking area at Ferncroft Rd. Fantastic day!
