end of summer! this year I'm more excited about hiking on the weekends but the gardens still look great. Big changes this year -- removed all the burning bushes and lost the plum tree and a big white pine. plan is to reconfigure some trees/shrubs, move things around, get rid of anything that needs a lot of pruning....downsizing to make more time for hiking! I still love my gardens...just don't want to be a slave to maintaining them and want to simplify my life!
