Visited Hale on a Saturday via the Fire Wardens trail and despite the crowded trailhead and summit we enjoyed a blissful walk in the beautiful birch glade without seeing anyone until we got to the top! I love this trail, so moderate, peaceful and the forest feels untouched. There were a lot of birds in the morning, thrushes, warblers, juncos, and we spooked a spruce grouse family. 11th time on Hale so one more and this peak is finished for the grid!
