What a difference a month makes! Parked at the Basin and took the old Cascade Brook trail to save a little distance. The snow is melting although it is very deep between the two peaks and also very soft. Challenging conditions getting over to Flume and back made this a long hike. I injured my knee when I fell in the deep snow and I’m hoping it’s going to be ok in a couple of days. Always something! Spikes on above 3200 ft, the top was bare rock. Beautiful day but so ready for the snow to be gone!
