Chilly day with fresh snow in the mountains and it felt like full blown winter up there! Heading up Liberty Springs was fine, where it got a bit challenging was on the ridge between Liberty and Flume. No one had been that way and there was a lot of fresh powdery snow, as much as 9 inches, sometimes drifts even deeper! I didn't have snow shoes but I had good boots and gaiters so made it over and back then headed on down. Great day despite the cold!
