Ah, at long last, I get to see my all-time favourite Carcassonne ! The first time I went there, I was with a tour and stayed there only for two hours. Once I saw the city gate and heard that they really closed it at night to keep this walled city the traditional way, I was fascinated and vowed to myself that I had to return there. I did, a few years later. I went all the way to Carcassonne and even spent a night there because I wanted to see this old city at night and in the morning, when there was nobody by the wall. This photo is so attractive and inviting. I could hear Carcassonne calling me again. Thanks !
