I always enjoy the chance to spend time searching for Bachman’s Sparrows. Yesterday was no exception. It was wonderful earing the early morning chorus of cardinals, Indigo Buntings, Yellow-breasted Chats, Brown-headed Nuthatches, Pine Warblers and others. The wind in the tops of the huge pine trees makes such a relaxing sound. After a while listening to all the sounds, I finally heard the familiar call of the Bachman’s Sparrow. Even with that clue it took a good bit of effort to locate the songster.
