It is always a pleasure to spend time in east Texas so I was thrilled to get the opportunity yesterday to search for the Bachman’s Sparrow yesterday morning. We had to do a bit of walking to find one and wow was it sneaking around. It took a good bit of patience but it finally walked out in a fairly open spot for a couple of photos. It might not show in this photo but I was actually shooting through a bunch of pine needles and twigs. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite sparrows.
